Ministry of General Education apologizes for inconveniencing G9s

The Ministry of General Education has apologized to learners for the inconvenience caused during the computer studies practical exams were grade 9 pupils have had to write exam very late in the night due to limited computers in most schools.

Ministry of Education Spokesperson Hillary Chipango says it was not the ministry’s intention to have some learners write exams late in the night, but that this was due to circumstances and challenges beyond the ministry’s control.

Mr. Chipango has appealed for calm among parents and learners stressing that the computer examinations will not be a compulsory subject to determine qualification to grade 10, hence they should not stress or panic.

Mr Chipango has since assured parents and learners that such an experience will not happen again in future.
