Monze PF District Chairman Gilbert Mwila has backed calls for politicians to be united and work together as one in addressing the social challenges in the country.

Mr. Mwila says the issue of politicians uniting and working together is unquestionable saying a lot of people expect them to be united as one.

Mr. Mwila states that there is no need for politicians to give conditions before reconciling.
He notes that the continued trends by the opposition UPND to give conditions before doing something should come to an end.

He recalls that it is the same party that gave conditions to the government before joining last month’s Prayer and Fasting program.

Mr. Mwila says reconciliation just like forgiveness, should come from someone’s heart and it should not be accompanied by conditions.

And former Patriotic Front Mandevu constituency chairman Moses Makasa says any person attempting to reconcile people and bring about peace should be supported.

Mr. Makasa says peace is what the people of Zambia deserve thus efforts to bring about peace both within and out of political parties and in the nation at large should be support.

He says with peace and reconciliation, a lot can be achieved unlike a situation where people are not in one accord.

Mr. Makasa however stresses that reconciliation should not be selective but should be extended to everyone if it has to be realised.
