LWSC begins rationing of water to Chongwe District

Lusaka Water and Sewerage Company (LWSC) has announced that it is with immediate effect starting to ration water supply to Chongwe district.

Company public relations Manager Topsy Sikalinda says the district will now be supplied with water twice a day.

He says this follows the drop in water levels in the Chongwe river.

Mr. Sikalinda notes that as a way of mitigation, the water utility is supplying water for only two hours in the morning and in the evening for a few hours.

He says the whole idea is to sustain the little waters in the river.

Mr. Sikalinda has further reiterated the company’s commitment to supplying quality and safe water to its customers.
