Lungu missed an opportunity to give people a message of economic hope – GBM

UPND Vice President for Administration Geoffrey Mwamba says President Edgar Lungu missed an opportunity to give the people on the Copperbelt a message of economic hope when he addressed a rally in Kitwe on Saturday.

Mr Mwamba in a statement says President Lungu and other PF leaders instead used the rally to attack citizens especially the UPND, a clear indication that the PF are on a mission to divide the country.

He says it is moGBM 3ckery to God for President Lungu to use hate speech during his rally on Saturday, and go to church the following day.

Mr. Mwamba states that it is clear that the PF are politically irrelevant and are just mere jokers without any message for the masses, adding that the UPND is happy that many Zambians watched for themselves what he has termed as the joke and comedy of the entire PF leadership.

He says the UPND will continue with issue based political campaigns of offering solutions and hope for the majority suffering Zambians.

Mr Mwamba says Zambians want sound economic messages of ending power cuts, reducing mealie meal prices, reducing the cost cooking oil, teachers and health workers recruitment programme, solving problems affecting institutions of higher learning, reducing the cost of fertiliser for farmers and many issues such as economic diversification and creating jobs as well as dealing with the souring inflation.
