FODEP happy with support “Go to Register” campaign is receiving

The Foundation for Democratic Process (FODEP) is happy with the overwhelming response and support it is receiving from the public since it launched its “Go to Register” campaign.

FODEP Executive Director Macdonald Chipenzi says people have raised concerns on the process of replacing and getting the voters card, the police stations and registration centres are miles apart, some people skeptical about paying for the police report for lost NRCs which despite being waived some police are still insisting and the issuance of voters cards before obtaining NRC and the congestion at the NRC centres.

Mr. Chipenzi says In districts like chikankata, issuance of NRCS is erratic due to reported shortages of materials citing that the officers only work for 4 days against the 7 per station.

He has since challenged Siavonga district commissioner Lovemore Kanyama to state whether he also receives reports from other parts of the country such as chikankata, kasama, sesheke etc like they do for him to speak like he is a national leader.

Mr. Chipenzi says Mr. Kanyama must be reminded that he is a district leader only for Siavonga not even chirundu so must speak only for Siavonga & not the nation.

He further states that FODEP is national organization with eyes in all corners of this great nation.
