Mufulira Wanderers coach Manfred Chabinga says his side were certainly second best in their 3-0 away bashing to old foes Nkana.

Twelve-time champions Nkana were all over promoted Wanderers in an exciting Copperbelt derby played at Nkana Stadium in Kitwe on Sunday to see the hosts avenge the 2-0 first leg loss they suffered on June 20 in Mufulira.

“We lost the game, we didn’t click and congrats to Nkana, they won the game fairly and we can’t complain. The boys didn’t play according to instructions,” Chabinga said.

Wanderers had only one tangible chance on goal that came in the 55th minute from Eric Chibuye whose shot from close range was saved by Scott Ngokane.

“If you look at the first half, we only had one shot,” Chabinga said.

“If you want to win the game you have to put pressure on the back four but we didn’t do that so it is back to the drawing board.

“We are left with one game and lets see what happens.”

Wanderers and Nkana are 5th and 8th on 45 and 38 points respectively from 29 games played with one match left before the close of the 2015 season.

Meanwhile, this is nine-time champions Wanderers first season back in the Faz Super League since 2005.
