Reviewing of NFCN Act No. 41 of 1967 underway

The National Food and Nutrition Commission (NFNC) has announced plans to expand its mandate of coordinating Food and Nutrition programmes in Zambia.

NFCN Spokesperson Herbert Macha says to this effect, the process of reviewing NFCN Act No. 41 of 1967 is underway.

Mr. Macha says the commission hopes the amendment bill for the NFNC ACT will be tabled in the     current sitting of Parliament.

He states that the vision of the commission is to become a center of excellence in food and nutrition in Southern Africa.

Mr. Macha was speaking during a media training workshop in Chongwe District.

The media training workshop is meant to equip journalists selected from various media houses with information on the 1,000 Most Critical Days Program the NFCN is implementing in 14 Districts in the country.
