Khloe Kardashian: I’m not divorcing Lamar Odom ‘for medical reasons’

Khloé Kardashian and ­Lamar Odom may have called off their divorce in the wake of his near-death overdose — but that doesn’t mean the couple will stick together for the long haul.

In an exclusive interview with People from the troubled ex-hoopster’s LA bedside, the curvy celeb downplayed the postponement.

“I pulled back on the divorce because there is no rush for it. For medical reasons and a ton of other things, it’s just smarter that it’s put on hold,” she told the magazine, speaking “in whispers” as Odom lay nearby.

“But that does not mean I’m back with Lamar. It’s not even in our brains to think about us having a relationship. Only time will tell.”

Odom, she said, has a tough fight ahead of him as he struggles to recover from pneumonia and kidney damage suffered during a three-day drug and sex binge at a Nevada brothel.

“There is a very long road ahead of him, and he has to walk that road by himself,” she said.

But the 31-year-old Kardashian — who rushed to Odom’s Las Vegas hospital bedside after hookers at the Love Ranch found him unresponsive and foaming from the mouth — vowed to stick with the Queens-born hoopster.

“I’ll be there supporting him every step of the way,” said Kardashian. “I love Lamar, and I’ll be there for him like I promised.”

Kardashian had spent the hours before she learned of Odom’s plight playfully posing for photographs for People and preparing for the release of her book, “Strong Looks Better Naked,” which goes on sale next Tuesday.

Then she got the stunning news that Odom, 35, had been taken from the cathouse to the hospital.

“You never know what to expect in life. I had to get there. All I wanted was for him to be OK,” she said.

At first, Kardashian feared the worst, with Odom remaining in a coma for three days. But her hubby — who won NBA championships with the Lakers in 2009 and 2010 — has since shown signs of improvement.

“Every hour is different. It goes up and it goes down. Things are progressing, but it’s a very serious situation,” she said.

But Odom has more than medical problems: The Sheriff’s Department in Nye County, Nev., wants him prosecuted because of the cocaine that was found in his system.
