Green party President Peter Sinkamba says his party is excited about President Edgar Lungu’s decision to work from Kitwe.

Mr. Sinkamba says his party is excited because this is a test case for the Green Party Decentralization, Access to Land and Housing Policy which was unveiled on 17th October last year.

He says his party promised to shift the Executive wing of government from Lusaka to Kitwe, shift the Legislature from Lusaka to Mongu in western province and relocate the Judiciary from Lusaka to Kabwe.

Mr. Sinkamba says as the Green Party, they stand to draw good lessons from President
Lungu’s temporal shifting of State House to Kitwe in terms of feasibility of their decentralization policy.

He also adds that his party also promised to invest heavily in e-government which government under President Lungu is doing.

Mr. Sinkamba states that he looks forward to meeting President Lungu during his working visit to Kitwe so that they can share ideas that will help in the running of the affairs of the nation for the benefit of the people of Zambia.
