Independent Churches of Zambia (ICOZ) Board Chairman Bishop David Masupa has implored politicians not to ignore calls by stakeholders for them to consider genuinely reconciling with one another for the benefit of the nation.

Bishop Masupa says a healthy and conducive political environment is what the nation needs.

He says the enmity that exists in the political arena is not motivating to the people of Zambia.

And Bishop Masupa says President Lungu’s stance on promoting Christianity in Zambia is laudable.

He says there is no country that can survive without putting God first which President Lungu has done.

Bishop Masupa says he is pleased that the Head of State is trying within his powers to bring the Zambian people closer to God.

He says a good leader must strive to ensure that the people he is governing are under the care of God, stating that when people fully trust in God, He cannot let them down.

Bishop Masupa states that the onus is on the Zambian people to ensure that they draw even closer to God.
