The Zambia Police Service has reaffirmed its commitment to ensure there is peace in the country ahead of the 2016 tripartite elections.
Police Spokesperson Charity Munganga-Chanda says measures are being put in place to ensure no violence occurs before, during and after the general election.
Ms Chanda adds that there is enough Police manpower to ensure there is security and peace during the elections.
She states that it is the mandate of the Police to safeguard the lives of people regardless of their political affiliations.
