Govt asked to raise much needed forex

Government has been urged to strive at raising the needed foreign exchange to boost growth of the Zambian economy.

Economic Expert Yusuf Dodia says it is high time that government focused on value addition to minerals before exporting them.

Mr. Dodia who is also Private Sector Development Association (PSDA) chairperson says this is what he thinks will go a long way to increase revenue, create jobs, and ultimately accelerate national development.

He says there is also need for the country to focus on improved and sustained macro-economic stability and competitiveness in the private sector.
