Simuusa calls for genuine dialogue with mining companies

Government has been urged to engage in genuine dialogue with mining investors in order to overcome challenges facing the mining industry.

Nchanga Member of Parliament Wylbur Simuusa says this dialogue between the Mines and government should also be sincere.

Mr. Simuusa has told Qfm News that the crisis which has hit the mining industry does not need a business as usual or casual approach on the part of government and other stakeholders.

He says this is particularly that it appears some issues are not being brought out openly by both government and the mines.

Mr. Simuusa says this is evidenced by how government is making serious pronouncements against job losses in Mines which are however being ignored with impunity by the Mines.
