Government has warned ROAD contractors in the habit of stalling construction works during the rainy seaso
n that it will not ACCEPT any excuses.
Works and Supply Minister Yamfwa Mukanga says the rainy season should not be given as a reason why contractors should reschedule their works.
He says he is aware that some constructors take advantage and close completely during the rainy season.
Mr. Mukanga states that government will not extend the completion deadline for road projects.
And the Minister has disclosed that all the local contractors have been paid and the ministry is finalizing payment of foreign contractors.
