Milupi backs Govt stance on price controls

Government has been commended for refusing to heed to calls to introduce exchange controls in view of the depreciation of the Kwacha.

Opposition Alliance for Democracy and Development (ADD) President Charles Milupi says the introduction of exchange controls as a means to savage the Kwacha is not the way to go.

Mr Milupi says introducing exchange controls at this present time will not help the situation given that Zambia has already become unattractive as seen from the country’s failure to record new investments.

He has told Qfm News in an interview that this means that the introduction of exchange controls will only make the country more unattractive to investment.
