Hamaundu urges govt to stick to 2016 budget

Financial Analyst Mambo Hamaundu has urged government to implement and stick to the 2016 budget.

He says what has been happening in the past where what has been implemented is different from the budget should not be the case in 2016.

Mr. Hamaundu says issues of misappropriation and misapplication of the resources should not be the case, stating that the country needs to learn from its past.

He explains that failure to stick to the budget is what has resulted in the situation the country has found itself in such as the budget deficit.

Mr. Hamaundu says in view of the high cost of living in the country, it is important for the government to be prudent in its use of public resources by not spending anyhow.

He states that as a way of moving forward, the 2016 budget should be implemented as presented in Parliament.
