Simuusa demands Chikwanda explanation on mining issues

Finance Minister Alexander Chikwanda has been called upon to explain in detail exactly how government intends to deal with issues relating to the Mining sector in 2016.

Nchanga Member of Parliament Wylbur Simuusa is concerned that in his 2016 budget speech,Mr. Chikwanda was not specific in how issues pertaining to the mining sector will be dealt with.

Mr. Simuusa who is also former Agriculture Minister has told Qfm News that as debate on the proposed budget unfolds, Mr. Chikwanda should be more specific on government’s intentions for the mining sector.

He has however, described the 2016 national budget as generally okay.
