ZNUT warns teachers against involvement in exam malpractices

The Zambia National Union of Teachers (ZNUT) has warned teachers against engaging themselves in examination malpractices during the forthcoming final examinations for grades, seven, nine and twelve.

ZNUT president, Henry Kapenda says the union will not protect any teacher found wanting.

He says it is embarrassing that teachers engage themselves in such negative and retrogressive vices.

Mr. Kapenda has told Qfm News that examination malpractices have brought ridicule to the teaching profession because of a few individuals involved.

He since appealed to teachers affiliated to ZNUT to prevent any examination malpractices from happening across the country.

Mr Kapenda states that examination malpractices such as leakages do not only dent the image of the teachers but also compromise pupils’ academic qualifications and ultimately retarded development in the nation.
