UPND president Hakainde Hichilema has observed that diversification can only be achievable by saving from the revenue that the Country generates.
Mr. Hichilema believes the Country can further diversify by making Agriculture attractive by lowering the cost of production and making the business operating environment credible.
He has also observed that mines in the country have seen jobs losses due to lose of power supply from 550 to 300 megawatts which has resulted in lower production and lower income to pay salaries.
Mr. Hichilema has since promised that once the UPND forms government it will make Zesco more efficient not to allow such a situation to happen again.
He says this is will be done by removing political cadres and employing professionals to run the power utility company in a more proficient manner with the view of delivering the required out put.
