2016 budget is conscious to Zambia’s woes – Mulongoti

People’s Party Leader Mike Mulongoti has observed that the 2016 K53.14 billion national budget is conscious to the depth of the socio-economic woes Zambia is facing.

Mr. Mulongoti is happy that the PF government has accepted that the country’s economy has deteriorated.

He thinks that the PF government should also be commended for acknowledging that the country has no money to take an extravagant path of expenditure.

Mr. Mulongoti is however of the view that the Agriculture sector should have been allocated more funding in the 2016 national budget.

He says this is especially that Zambia’s population is steadily growing.

And Foundation for Democratic Process (FODEP) Executive Director Macdonald Chipenzi says the 2016 Budget is inspiring and can yield results.

Mr. Chipenzi says this is if it will be implemented as was presented by Finance Minister Alexander Chikwanda.
