She hopes that Members of Parliament will take this matter seriously and use their positions in their various constituencies to mobilize people in readiness for the second phase of the exercise.Image result for Vice president Inonge Wina in Parliament

Ms. Wina notes that this is besides the sensitization by the teams dispatched by the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) and the Ministry of Home Affairs.

She states that Members of Parliament are in possession of instruments such as vehicles which they can use to reach out to as many people as possible in their various constituencies.

And Ms. Wina says the 14 days scheduled for the second phase of the mobile voter registration exercise is enough to capture as many would be voters.

She has also assured the nation that areas which were not covered in the first phase of the voter registration exercise by the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) will be covered.

Ms. Wina was responding to questions by Members of Parliament after she made a Ministerial statement on the just ended voter registration exercise in which 301,103 new voters were captured.
