The Evangelical Fellowship of Zambia has appealed to politicians seeking public office to stop making promises to the Zambian people that they will not be able to fulfill.

EFZ Executive Director Reverend Pukuta Mwanza notes that political temperatures have begun to rise ahead of the 2016 elections with politician beginning to make promises they cannot fulfill.

He has advised politicians to desist from telling people lies in order to be voted for.

Reverend Mwanza told QFM news in an interview that giving empty promises makes the electorate lose trust in political leaders.

And Reverend Mwanza says accepting defeat by losers in the 2016 elections is the only way the country would be able to preserve peace.
