30% of MFEZ 330KV sub-station’s civil works complete- Kapata

Zesco Spokesperson Henry Kapata has disclosed that 30 percent of the civil works on the construction of the 330KV sub-station in the Lusaka South Multi-Facility Economic Zone (MFEZ) at an estimated cost of US$35 million have been completed.

Mr. Kapata has told QFM News that the company will ensure that the project is done within twelve months in line with the contract signed.

He says works on the 330KV substation are progressing well and that the project is expected to be completed on schedule.

Mr Kapata has explained that the US$35 million project comprises the 330KV overhead transmission line and that the main objective of the project is to supply stable and reliable power to the Lusaka MFEZ.
