Chama defends PF capacity to fight graft

Patriotic Front Secretary General Davies Chama has defended the ruling party’s capacity to fight corruption in the country.

Mr. Chama says the ruling PF’s determination to end corruption in the country was reaffirmed in President Edgar Lungu’s recent speech to Parliament.

He notes that President Lungu was in fact categorical in his address to Parliament when he assured the nation that he will not condone any PF member or government official engaging in any corrupt practices.

Mr. Chama states that if therefore, there is anyone with evidence on any individual in the ruling PF or indeed in government engaging in corruption, such individuals should be reported to the relevant law enforcement agencies.

He however, thinks it is unfair for anyone to accuse someone of corruption if there is no evidence to the effect that they really engaged in corrupt activities.
