Govt says road to industrialization on course

Commerce Trade and Industry Deputy Minister Miles Sampa says the road to industrialization is on course.

Mr. Sampa says his ministry will continue to identify sector and industrial clusters in each district and province respectively.

Mr. Sampa however points out that for the clusters to be successful, there is need to have an open market free from encumbrances.

He adds that there is need to see products from other provinces and districts being sold in various local supermarkets around the country.

Mr. Sampa says his ministry sees the clusters as a tool of encouraging Zambians to participate in the economy and also enhance value addition.

He further explains that last month, the soya bean cluster in Isoka district and the groundnut cluster in Petauke were launched.
