The Ndola Chamber of Commerce and Industry has called for continued engagement amongst stakeholders in the private sector to scrutinize any legal, regulatory or institutional leakages that might cause financial hemorrhage in the sector.

In a statement obtained by Q-news, chamber president Paul Chisunka says the best way to stimulate growth in the private sector is through carrying out a wholesome inspection and revision of all statutory, regulatory, legal and licensing fees including the cost of borrowing.

Mr. Chisunka believes that accelerating digital migration and optimization of systems such as the government service bus, tax administration and on boarding of various public service provisions to online platforms will also help reduce wastage and induce transparency and accountability which will lead to affordable costs across all economic sectors.

He has since commended president Hakainde Hichilema for aggressively moving to reduce the cost of doing business through the public private dialogue forum.
