Kakubo describes  Shinzo Abe as a great Statesman

Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Stanley Kakubo says slain ex-Japanese prime minister Shinzo Abe will forever be remembered as a great Statesman who commanded a presence on the international stage.

Speaking to journalists after signing in the book of condolences for Mr Abe at the Japanese Embassy in Lusaka, Mr Kakubo said Zambia joins Japan and the rest of the world in condemning the senseless attack on the former Japanese leader.

Mr Kakubo extolled Mr Abe for his commitment to the Tokyo International Conference on Africa’s Development.

He says Zambia appreciates his keen interest in enhancing ties with Africa.

Mr Kakubo has since conveyed his deepest sympathies to the family of Mr. Abe, the Government and people of Japan on this tragic loss.
