Four killed as over 500 Elephants invade Feira

At least four people have so far been killed by Elephants in Feira, Luangwa district this year.

And Feira Member of Parliament Emmanuel Tembo has threatened to stage a protest to Statehouse if the animal/human conflict in his constituency is not addressed.

Mr. Tembo tells Q-news that over 500 elephants have invaded the district.

The parliamentarian has warned of the looming severe hunger in the district as the crops and vegetation have been eaten and destroyed by the elephants.

Meanwhile Mr. Tembo has accused the department of national parks and wildlife of doing very little to address the situation despite numerous appeals made to the department.
