NHP shares no excitement over consultations to repeal POA-Kasankha

Opposition New Heritage Party Vice President Samuel Kasankha says the announcement by government that stakeholder consultations over amendments to repeal the public order act will commence shortly is beginning to sound like a broken record in the manner it is being repetitive. 

Mr. Kasankha says the new heritage party shares no excitement over this announcement because it believed so much consultation has already taken place and the views of all well-meaning Zambians on The matter are already well documented in the various submissions on the constitution  and specifically on the public order act itself. 

He says the party is skeptical about spending the millions that are being mentioned because it believes this is a ‘fait accomplish. 

Recently Home Affairs and Internal Security Minister Jack Mwiimbu announced that government will spend approximately k4 million on the public order act review process.
