Former Ambassador to Ethiopia Emmanuel Mwamba has challenged the UPND administration to stick to the rule of law and ensure that if suspects are arrested are speedily taken to the courts of law for trial.

Mr. Mwamba says despite President Hakainde Hichilema consistently assuring that the upnd administration will neither abuse the law to oppress its political opponents nor use it for retribution or vengeance the opposite is happening.

Speaking to journalists at the supreme court grounds where Former President Edgar Lungu’s Aide De Camp  Chisanga Chanda was appearing in Court Mr. Mwamba expressed concern that it is now 133 since former PF Deputy Secretary General Mumbi Phiri was arrested and she has not appeared in a court other than her appearance in Kaoma Magistrate court and being committed to the high.

Mr. Mwamba who is also p-f presidential aspirant says this is detention without trial which he has described as human rights abuse.

He says this is despite President Hakainde Hichilema being on record of saying no person must be arrested before thoroughly investigations are conducted.
