Mutati calls for more investment in digital infrastructure

Technology and Science Minister Felix Mutati says Zambia is currently at 54 percent of digital economy and that more investment in the digital infrastructure is require if Zambia has to reach its desired target of above 70 percent.

Mr. Mutati has since disclosed that in October this year, Zambia through the ministry of technology and Science is expected to host 50 investors in the Information Communication Technology ICT sector from Egypt to begin the investment journey in Zambia’s digital space.

He says the areas that the potential investors will consider investing into include optic fiber, communication towers, digital services and innovations. Mr. Mutati believes this will go a long way in stimulating Zambia’s economy
