James Ndambo donation of two vehicles has the potential to seriously compromise the Police in the area.

Governance, Elections, Advocacy, and Research Services (GEARS) Initiative Zambia says the donation of two brand new motor vehicles to Police in Choma by businessman James Ndambo has the potential to seriously compromise the Police in the area.

Organisation Executive Director Mcdonald Chipenzi says in as much as the donation has come from a magnanimous and good man, who happens to be a resident of the district, good governance tenets may be comprised through such gifts advanced in an operational area of the donor. 

Mr. Chipenzi is of the view that the donation should have been received by the Inspector General of Police, the Home Affairs Minister Jack Mwiimbu or the Minister in charge of the province who would then pass it on to the recipient police stations.

In a statement obtained Q-News, Mr Chipenzi states that for the Police to have accepted the donation, is an indication that they had agreed and expressed hope that the agreements will not in any way compromise the security and the professional aspects of the command in that area.
