President Hakainde Hichilema has tasked the newly sworn-in Police public complaints commission chairperson to expeditiously address public complaints against the police service.
President Hichilema says his administration is enthusiastic about restoring citizens confidence in the Zambia police service based on professional conduct of the police in offering service and policing the public.
He has also tasked the human rights commission to interact with the judicially and other agencies to resolve delayed judicial processes that infringe on human rights.
Mr. Hichilema has reiterated his administration’s resolve to improve the country’s governance record.
President Hichilema has reminded the appointees that they have been appointed to public office to serve the general public with selflessness and diligence.
The head of state was speaking at state house this morning when swore-in members of the Anti Corruption Commission ACC board, director general, members of the judicial complaints commission, members of the human rights commission, ambassadors and high commissioners.
