Socialist Party General Secretary and first Vice President’s Cosmas Musumali, says it is clear that the upnd leadership is frustrated with its criticism that they are imperialist puppets and that they cannot also manage pressure emanating from the masses about the high cost of living.
Dr Musumali says the zambian masses are asking genuine questions about the low maize producer prices relative to the rising cost of fertilizers and other inputs and want to know the rationale behind the record-breaking number of international presidential visits but upnd Spokesperson Cornelius Mweetwa is unable to give convincing answers.
He charges that in his common temper tantrums and arrogant style, Mr Mweetwa is resorting to mudslinging.
Dr Musumali feels what is giving pressure to Mr Mweetwa and his team is the fact that the socialist party is explaining to the zambian masses that the upnd is a corrupt and pro imperialist outfit – puppets of American and South African white capital.
