Zambia Community Resources Board Association (ZCRBA) President George Tembo has charged that there are no hunting activities currently going on contrary to the ministerial statement made in Parliament by Tourism Minister Rodney Sikumba.

Mr. Tembo has told QTV news in an interview that concession agreements for the 19 hunting blocks which were awarded by the previous regime were cancelled, and currently there is no hunting that is going on.

He has since attributed the rising cases of human-animal conflicts to the lack of hunting activities in the 19 hunting blocks.

Mr Tembo states that one of the ways in which this can be reduced is through cropping which can be done through hunting.

He notes that animals have increased in number and are coming out of the game management areas, thereby posing a threat to human life.
