Prisons Care and Counseling Association (PRISCCA) Executive Director Dr Godfrey Malembeka has encouraged ex-convicts who were recently pardoned to form or join cooperatives that will help them benefit from the constituency development funds-CDF.

Speaking to Q-news, Dr. Malembeka notes with sadness that re-integration into society and getting by with daily life for most ex-convicts is difficult as they barely find jobs and have no capacity to start businesses.

He however, states that the ex-convicts can take advantage of the skills they acquired while in incarceration and form cooperatives which can attract funding thereby create jobs for themselves and other people in communities.

Dr. Malembeka has since urged the ex-convicts interested in forming cooperatives to engage his organization, Councillors and members of parliament in their communities for assistance on business proposals that can help them benefit from the CDF.
