Commence amendment of by-elections law – Chifumu

Veteran Politician Chifumu Banda says time is running out for the commencement of constitutional reforms in particular the amending of the law on by-elections.

Mr. Banda states that there is need for the amendment process to start now in order to do away with by-elections.

He states that the solution to by-elections lie in either the country going for the full proportional representation system or a mixed electoral system.

Mr. Banda has since called on the government to indicate when exactly important bills will be presented.
