Sikota Wina put to rest

President Hakainde Hichilema has called for unity of purpose amongst citizens in a quest to build a better Zambia for all.

Speaking during the funeral church service for freedom fighter and veteran politician Sikota Wina at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross in Lusaka this morning, President Hichilema urged citizens to emulate the sacrificial lifestyle freedom fighters lived for the sake of building a united Zambia. 

Mr. Hichilema expressed concern at the mortality rate of Freedom fighters in the country.

Mr.  Wina 91 died last week on the 15th June.

And Zambia Association of Freedom Fighters representative Herbert Zulu said Mr. Wina died at the time the association needed his guidance with regards to passing a law in parliament to lawfully recognize Freedom fighters in the country.
