The Civil Society Organizations Decentralization Alliance Network-COS-DAN has urged members of parliament to adopt a by-partisan attitude on matters that have a bearing on the livelihoods of their constituents.

CSO-DAN national coordinator George Chimembe is saddened that the motion to push for the amendment of CDF guidelines failed because the members of parliament that moved the motion did not garner enough support from ruling party MPs.

Mr. Chimembe tells Q-news that there is need to quickly revisit the provisions of the CDF guidelines without further delay because communities are failing to access the CDF easily.

He stresses the need for members of parliament to support the idea to revisit the CDF guidelines for the benefit of their constituents.
