M’membe claims deaths are occurring at the Black Mountain

Socialist Party President Fred M’membe has called on the government to suspend operations at the Black Mountain until proper and accessible safety measures are put in place.

Dr. M’membe has accused government of hiding the alleged many deaths occurring at the Black Mountain in Kitwe.

He says videos are circulating on social media calling on the authorities to do something about the alleged rising deaths at the Black Mountain, but that the government is dead silent and not doing much or anything to stop what he has termed as exceptionally very high mortality. 

Dr M’membe says the reality of the deaths at the Black Mountain is being hidden from the nation.

He says the primitive extraction methods being used at the Black Mountain mean that the young people risk death or serious injuries every day.
