Follow procedure in land acquisition, Chongwe residents told

Chongwe Mayor Christopher Habeenzu has discouraged Chongwe residents from obtaining state land illegally, but instead follow the lawful procedures of land acquisition and ownership.

Mr. Habeenzu says disadvantaging and infringing on other people’s rights for selfish gain is against the law, hence assuring his commitment to curb such vices.

He has since stressed the need for office bearers in Chongwe to pay particular attention to such matters as they have negative repercussions.

Mr. Habeenzu states that those who wish to acquire state land should apply through the council and obtain the necessary paperwork and title deeds in order to help curb the ongoing occurrence of land disputes.
