Ask for more time on teacher recruitment, Musumali urges govt

Socialist Party Vice-President Cosmas Msumali believes it is not possible that all the 30, 000 teachers earmarked for recruitment will be recruited within this short period and has since called on government to own-up to the Zambian people and ask for more time.

Dr Msumali says sticking to the recruitment of the 30, 000 teachers will be a recipe for disaster.

He notes that with all the contradictions and lack of capacity that some government officials are expressing, there is need for government to start communicating the truth to the Zambian people.

Dr Msumali has maintained that the announcement of the recruitment of the 30,000 by government was deceptive and that it was not done in good faith.

He says the socialist party has been vindicated when it stated that the UPND comes up with policies without looking at capacity to deliver on those policies.
