Govt urged to bridge the inequality gap

Fight Inequality Alliance Zambia- National Coordinator Daisy Mwilima has urged government to step up efforts in reducing the cost of living to bridge the inequality gap. 

Ms. Mwilima has noted that the kwacha has been gaining and inflation going down from 24 to 10 in the last 9 months which is commendable but regrets that they are not translating into reduced cost of living. 

She has implored government to put in place measures to cushion the majority Zambians especially regarding the cost of mealie meal.

Ms. Mwilima is confident that government will cushion the majority Zambians so that the high cost of living does not widen the inequality gap between the rich and poor.
