Hope for Human Rights is disturbed to learn that the government secretly made it mandatory for person’s living with hiv to be vaccinated against covid 19.
Organization Executive Director Smart Chanda has told QTV news in an interview that this has been confirmed by reports coming from kabwata clinic were persons accessing ARV’s are being told to first get vaccinated against covid 19 pandemic before accessing the medicine’s.
Mr. Chanda has explained that the officers at kabwata clinic are claiming that the system does not allow individuals who are not vaccinated from accessing ARV’s.
He is challenging the government to immediately withdrawal such an instruction from all health centers across the country.
Mr. Chanda says this is illegal and against the rights of patients and the constitution.
