Economist Trevor Hambayi says the stability of the exchange rate is one of the key fundamentals that will aid the further decline in the cost of living.
The latest Jesuit Centre for Theological Reflection Basic Needs and Nutrition Bascket (BNNB) for a family of six in Lusak has indicated a reduction of about K33 for the month of May 2022.
But Mr Hambayi notes that while this reduction marginal reduction is positive, its impact cannot be felt yet considering the margin of the decline.
He states that individuals will need to be prudent with their financial management so that the reduction in the cost of living can begin to create value for them.
