Unscrupulous illegal miners of white stones have evaded Mabwetuba ward of Mapangazya in Chieftainess Mwenda of the Basanje Tonga speaking people.
Confirming the development Chieftainess Mwenda of the Basanje Tonga speaking says relevant law enforcement agencies as well as ministry of mines officers should send people to Mabwetuba and verify the reports of the illegal miners in the area.
And chieftainess Mwenda has also advised her subjects to report anyone found illegally mining white stones dotted in the said area, stating with concern that people from other places are busy conniving with local people to dig white stones in Mabwetuba.
She said chikakanka district of southern province is rich in gold, nickel, white stones and even copper in the munali hills which has remained un tapped for many years now.
