Young women Christian Association YWCA has urged the media to highlight the outcome of child abuse cases of individuals that have been incarcerated for abusing young girls so as to deter would be offenders from perpetrating the same vise.
Speaking in an interview with q news, YWCA executive director Miriam Mwiinga notes that a lot of people are currently unaware of the repacation of perpetrating the crime against under aged children thus vise continuing to increase.
She says it is disheartening to note that the vise has continued to increase despite the perpetrators being incarcerated.
Ms. Mwiinga has since urged government to strengthen the penalty for crimes against young girls as this will reduce the cases of child abuse in the country.
