Infrastructure, HOUSING and Urban Development Minister, Charles Milupi says government will by the end of July this year close the deal for commencement of works on the Lusaka-Ndola dual carriageway.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Q-News, Mr. Milupi has acknowledged that most trunk roads in the country such as the Lusaka-Copperbelt and the Great North road from Serenje going further are in very bad state.

He says it is against this background that Government is working flat out and tirelessly to push for the rehabilitation of roads through Public Private Partnerships (PPPs).

Mr. Milupi has also disclosed that government will soon close PPP deals for rehabilitation works on the Mwendo-Kasomeno road which connects DRC with Zambia across the Luapula river and the Chingola-Chililabombwe-Kasumbalesa roads.
