Political analyst and human rights defender Ngande Mwanajiti has charged that Collum coal mine in Sinazeze has become a total governance embarrassment and an indictment on successive governments.
Mr Mwanajiti notes that the safety standards at the mine are a serious health hazard and yet government is doing very little to ensure an effective caring response for its hard working and loyal people.
He is calling on the Minister of mines and officials in his ministry to give the same attention to what he has described as a death trap as he does elsewhere such as the black mountain.
