Ministry of Tourism Permanent Secretary Evans Muhanga has been reported to the Anti Corruption Commission for allegedly cancelling legally and legitimately procured Hunting Concession licences and agreements.
Patriotic Front presidential aspirant Emmanuel Mwamba is also reporting Mr Muhanga for abuse of office in the unlawful manner that the Director of Department of National Parks and Wildlife,Dr Chuma Simukonda was fired.
Mr Mwamba says the decision by Mr Muhanga to cancel a validly processed tender related to hunting concessions was a violation of the Zambia Procurement Authority Act of 2020 and other laws.
He states that information has publicly emerged that Mr Muhanga blatantly defied legal advice from the Attorney general and cancelled the tender.
Mr Mwamba adds that another decision by Mr Muhanga to fire the Director nof the Department of National Parks and Wildlife,constituted gross abuse of authority as he refused to participate in the illegalities being perpetrated by the Permanent Secretary.
Mr Mwamba has also copied his letter of complaint to the Secretary to the Cabinet for him to consider effecting immediate administrative action against the Permanent Secretary for allegedly gross violation of the law,and breach of public service regulations.
